As I closed the lights in my classroom on Friday for the seventh year in a row, I was so excited to bring my few (thirty-something) boxes to my new campus. Who knew I had accumulated so many things in seven years?! Well, secretly I know I have a school supply hoarding problem...so about half of the boxes were supplies that I have hoarded from crazy back to school sales from Office Max and Office Depot. My husband had banned me from those sales for this year--we will see if that stops me 😄
For now, I will enjoy summer and the several professional developments that I have scheduled throughout June, July, and August. Oh, and of course, creating all of the things I will need to get my new classroom in tip top shape! Oh how I love a blank canvas to work with!
My comment isn't there anymore? I wonder what happened?
ReplyDeleteThis is strange...because I have replied to the comment above several times and the comment isn't sticking...anyhow, thank you for the well wishes and the same to you next year! This week was bittersweet for sure!
ReplyDeleteDanielle,
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best. It must be bittersweet to be going. How exciting to teach 8th grade though. I often think that is the grade I would most like to teach! I have been teaching grade 6 gifted for the past 6 years. Maybe one day the change will come. I hope you still post materials for 6th and 7th grade. I love your ideas!

Thank you so much! I will for sure be posting resources for grades 6-8...I have so many ideas in my notebook ready to be worked on this summer! My project I am working on right now is a pack of activities for 6th grade for back to school...you may have seen the 7th and 8th grade activities in my TpT store and these will be similar. I hope to have them finished by the end of the week!
DeleteI have taught 6th grade for the past 5 years and have often fantasized about teaching 8th...I am so excited about it! Thanks for your sweet words!
